Countries Involved: The countries involved in Afghanistan are part of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) and include the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, Poland, Netherlands, Turkey, Australia, Spain and Romania
Casualties: There has been a high death toll during the Afghanistan war, from both sides of the war and civillians. 3,391 deaths of soldiers part of NATO have been recorded, with the US ccounting for 2257 of these and Australia having 41. An extra 256 Australian soldiers were wounded. An estimated 26,000 civilians also died.
